- 2) conjunction with the Commodity Classic

- Grew up in the ag industry
- Likes to work with canola
- Licensed Seed Crop Inspector - as of September, 2023
- Laurel Lea Farms
- Grew up growing pumpkin and asparagus…..Known as the Pumpkin Queen
- 2016: moved and began cash cropping and pumpkin farming
- 2021: farm in 2 counties on family’s farm
- Farms 300 acres corn, soybeans, wheat, and canola Runs share-cropping on 2 farms
- Goals:
- Expanding the land she farms Expanding her involvement as a leader within the ag industry
- Brain Cancer Survivor
- Diagnosed in February, 2020 Named the tumor Bob
- A seizure and pneumonia ended up being a brain tumor
- Told she couldn’t drive
- A first wanted to keep it secret but figured it was better to share everything
- Joined a group with people diagnosed with similar tumors
- Was able to spend more time with her dad in the fields
- February was the first time she drove to the farm 5 hrs away from home since being diagnosed
- Spoke with oncologists about cancer from an adolescent and young child perspective
